At Venya Portrait, we work with seniors who want something more than the basic. We photograph a wide range of Chattanooga’s rising stars. We photograph a lot of McCallie boys (and donate to their fundraiser every year because we love those guys), the artsy girls of the city, and of course, anyone who is looking to preserve memories of their last year of school.
Whether you want something clean and classic or completely out-of-the-box creative, we're here for it. Our studio and Photoshop combo lets us get as wild or as polished as you want to go.
Every session includes professional hair and makeup because everyone deserves to look their absolute best on camera. Plus wardrobe consultations so you show up confident in your outfit choices instead of second-guessing whether that shirt actually works (pro tip: always bring backup options anyway).

1. Is hair and makeup included in my session?
Yes! All of our sessions include professional hair and makeup styling to ensure you look your best. While most of our boys skip makeup, they often have our hairstylist do final touches. For girls, hair and makeup are customized to your style. Sending us a Pinterest boards or inspiration photos ahead of time helps us match the exact vibe you’re going for.
2. What packages do you offer?
We offer packages with 20 images, 40 images, or a full gallery. The top-tier gallery package even includes a custom-designed album. We also offer prints and albums with any package so you can have keepsakes that last a lifetime.
3. Can we include multiple locations?
Yes! Your session can include up to three locations within the same area, giving you a variety of backgrounds and styles. Most sessions start at our downtown Chattanooga studio, and then we’ll head to outdoor or on-location spots for variety.
4. Can we add family photos?
Absolutely. Many families, especially our McCallie boarding school clients, like to add family portraits at the end of the session. We know families often travel from out of town, so we’re happy to work around travel schedules and make the most of your time here. We’ve even thrown headshots in as well!
5. Is editing included?
Yes, professional editing and retouching are included with every package. We offer extensive retouching for things like acne, flyaway hair, and other distractions - while keeping the images natural and true to you.
6. Can I bring a friend to my session?
Of course! Many clients bring a friend for support, laughs, and behind-the-scenes fun. Friends can also jump in for a couple of shots if you’d like.
7. How long will my session last?
Girls’ sessions can last up to three hours, especially when we’re doing multiple outfits and locations. Boys’ sessions are typically shorter, but still have plenty of time for outfit changes and location variety.
8. Should I bring anything with me?
Yes! Please bring snacks and water. Many girls skip breakfast on the morning of their shoot, but it’s important to keep your energy up so you look and feel your best during the session. If you’re traveling from out of town, bringing all your outfits, accessories, and inspiration images with you lets us hit the ground running.
